Joyce Edmondson Tolson, 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Joyce was a lifelong resident of Pinetops, born August 6, 1932, raised as the daughter of John D. Edmondson and Lessie Walston Edmondson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lester Tolson, Jr., her parents, her mother Bessie Nixon Wilkins, and her brothers William Joseph and Rowland Thomas Edmondson.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas A. Tolson (Kelly), John D. Tolson (Diane), CB Bunting III (Kaye); daughters, Joy T. Caroon, Janero B. Stokes (Ed); grandchildren, Thomas K. Tolson (Grace), Bryan Caroon (Rebecca), Dylan Caroon (Kara), William Tolson (Tammi), Clarence Bunting, Katie Bunting, Amy Trunnell (Glenn), Lorrie Gold (Russ), Mary Weaver (Jim), Kristin Walker (Ben), Matthew Blanchard; 19 great grandchildren that she loved and was proud of, and very dear and special friends, Hilda Williams, Jean Bunting and Mary Lou Clark.

Joyce was a member of the Pinetops Methodist Church and Pinetops Methodist Women's Group where she served on many committees through the years.  She was also a Pinetops Town Commissioner for 12 years and proudly served her community.  She worked for Maccripine Country Club as a bookkeeper, secretary, and treasurer for 56 years until her retirement in 2022.

Joyce had a great love for family, friends and helping others.
