Joyce Ann Williams Dunn, age 78, died Saturday, March 9, 2024, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

A life-long resident of Greene and Edgecombe Counties, she worked at Carolina Enterprises in Tarboro for over 30 years.  After retirement, she worked with Alzheimer's patients at a local nursing home. She was kind and caring, with a ready smile or laugh, and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro, North Carolina.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Joshua Redmond and Letha Jones Williams; and step-mother, Katie Gardner Williams; brothers, Jasper Lawrence, Redmond Jr (Buddy), William Alton, Billy Ray, and Royce Lee; sisters, Bettie Doris Johnson, Lucille Shackleford, Minnie Little, Amy Wainwright, and Peggy Harrell; and son, Keith Pittman.

She is survived by her son, Clifton Lee Pittman, of the home; sister, Etta Marie Taylor of Hookerton; special friend, Pat Hollis; and other family, including several nieces and nephews.
