Judy Strode age 84 passed away Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at home.

She was born on May 11th, 1940 in Lewis County, Kentucky to the late Archie and Maggie Meadows.

Judy attended Pinetops Methodist Church. She enjoyed yard sales to find lamps, and she also enjoyed her grand dogs, Zena and Thor.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Gilbert Strode; 8 brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Jenny Strode of Tarboro; son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Stephanie Strode of Tarboro; and special daughter, Patricia Barbour of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews in Kentucky and Ohio.

Visitation will be at 10:00 – 11:00 am on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Carlisle Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 11:00 am in the Chapel with Rev. Jason Duvall officiating the service. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
