Kayla Harrell Davis, 38, of Macclesfield, NC passed away on July 13, 2025, in her sleep at her mom's house in Fountain, NC.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Carlisle Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 3:00pm on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at New Life of Rocky Mount, NC. Burials will follow at Macclesfield Cemetery. The services will be officiated by Rev. Tim Suber, Rev. Don Causey, and Dylan Anderson.

She was born on October 9, 1986, to Debra Wooten and Donald Harrell in Wilson County. Kayla was married to Frederick Wayne Davis; her kids were her two very old Dachshunds, Dixie and Charlie; and stepson, Ayden Tripp Davis.

She worked with humans first then animals as a Medicine Surgery Tech in both fields and loved it. Kayla loved the Lord and was saved as a child and then again together with her husband back in July of last year. She was a serving member of New Life Church of Rocky Mount, NC and she volunteered to build beds for Sleep in Heavenly Peace organization of Rocky Mount, NC.

She was a loving sister, wife, stepmom, and friend that will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Harrell.

Kayla is survived by her stepson, Ayden Tripp Davis and husband, Frederick Davis of Tarboro, NC. Her mom, Debra Wooten and stepdad, Danny Joe Wooten of Fountain, NC. Her three stepbrothers, Kenneth Wooten and wife April Wooten, Heath Wooten and wife Nikki Wooten, and Don Wooten and Sandra Watkins; nephews, Alex Stewart, Kyler Wooten, and Wesley Wooten; nieces, Ally Wooten and Hayden Wooten; aunt, Vickie Triplett and husband, Johnny Triplett; mother-in-law, Deanna Harrell and husband Ricky Harrell; father-in-law, Wayne Davis; and sister-in-law, Fredda Davis all of Tarboro, NC; brother-in-law, Steven Davis and wife Hannah and their kids, Liam and Elle. She is also survived by her stepmom, Jennifer Harrell; uncle, Bill Harrell and wife Josey Harrell; cousins, Christopher Harrell and wife, Samantha Harrell and their child Rose Harrell, Chelsea Lawrence and husband Michael Lawrence and their son.
