Kenneth Ralph Williamson, 70, passed away with his wife by his side on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at First Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Michael Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Kenny was born in Edgecombe County on February 18, 1951 to the late Ely Ralph Williamson and Hester Viola McKeel Williamson.

He was survived by a loving family which includes his wife Teri Gorham Williamson; Ted and Tara Williamson (son and daughter-in-law), Heather and Jared Olson (daughter and son-in-law); grandchildren Jacquelyn, Kaitlyn, Elijah, Wyatt, Ethen, Ava and Caleb; sisters, Jean Trevathan, Doris Wall, and brother, Donnie Williamson.

Kenny worked for Sprint 28+ years. After retiring from Sprint, he was self-employed as a home inspector and flipping houses. He was a long-time member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Tarboro.

His lifelong passion for sports included volleyball, basketball, softball, snow skiing and golf; with a passion for participating in the Senior Games, playing pickleball and mentoring others in pickleball to assist in improving their game. When not on the court, he enjoyed watching the NY Yankees, Carolina Panthers, NC State Wolfpack and professional pickleball. He could even be found coaching Upwards basketball and coaching from the stands at Tarboro High School football games.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30-3:00 PM at First Free Will Baptist Church and other times at the family home.
