Kermit Eugene "Lighting" Boyette, 82, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017.

Funeral service will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 2:00pm, Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Don Causey officiating. Burial will follow in Macclesfield Cemetery.

Lighting was preceded in death by his step-son, Charlie Morris.

He is survived by his family, including stepdaughters, Emily Lovitt and husband, Gary, Merry Askew and husband, Dannie, and Sheila Deans; step-sons, Christopher Morris and Brandon Morris; a special friend, Ellen Pitt Morris; brothers, Larry Boyette, Joseph Boyette and Douglas Boyette; sisters, Mildred Moody, Mamie Edwards and Phyllis Stanley; and many step grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home Thursday December 21, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00pm and other times at the home, 429 St. Lewis Rd., Macclesfield, N.C.
