Kristan Michelle Freeman, age 34, of Tarboro, North Carolina, passed away in her home in Newport, North Carolina on the morning of Sunday, August 30, 2020. Kristan enjoyed a career in Food Service, and excelled at taking care of others. She loved animals and nature. Her favorite pastimes included going to the beach, fishing, and swimming. Soccer was her first choice in sports, and penguins always made her smile. She is preceded in death by her grandparents - Etta Mae Griffin, James E. Griffin, Samantha Tucker Wright, and Alphis Eugene Freeman. Kristan is survived by her mother and father - Cheryl G. Freeman and Donald Eugene Freeman. She is also survived by her brother, Donald "Gene" Freeman, Jr., as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her very much. Funeral services for Kristan will be held on Sunday, September 6th, at the Tarboro Church of God. Initial service will include family and friends and will begin promptly at 2:00 PM. A private, graveside service will be held afterwards at Edgecombe Memorial Park. Flowers may be sent directly to Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro.
