Larry Basil Hathaway, Sr., 73, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, at Carlisle Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Larry was born in Edgecombe County on March 26, 1946 to the late Frank Basil Hathaway and Catherine Coker Hathaway.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Basil "L.B" Hathaway, Jr.; brother, Milton Ray Hathaway.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joan Rehm Hathaway; daughters, Lisa Hathaway Osborne and husband Rick, Alison Hathaway Holland and husband Brad; step-son, Brandon Lee Balkcum and husband Justin; grandsons, Nicholas, Zachary and Benjamin Osborne, Jason Pridgen, Alex Hathaway, Jase Holland, granddaughter, Allisa Hathaway; and his fur baby Rocky.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 p.m., and other times at the home: 702 Fairway St., Tarboro, NC.
