Larry D. Lee, 91, passed peacefully on February 11, 2026, at ECU Health Hospital of Tarboro, NC.

Larry was born to the late Ira L. Lee and Wilsey Lee in Johnston County on July 30, 1934.  He was a proud Army Veteran who served his country for two years.  He worked at Carolina Enterprises for over thirty years and was known for his expertise and skill as a model maker.

Larry was a good man and a loving father who cherished time with his family.  His friends and neighbors were also special to him, and they supported him and cared for him greatly after the loss of his dear wife.  In his spare time, you could find him gardening, a hobby he greatly enjoyed.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Marie Lee, and several siblings.

He is survived by his daughter, Jackie Lee of Rocky Mount; two sisters, Pinkie Thompson of Goldsboro and Wilcy Thompson of Mount Olive, and several nieces and nephews.

Family is welcoming visitors at Larry's residence in Tarboro, NC.

A Memorial Service will be planned at some point in the future.
