Lenward "Len" Wesley Jones, Jr, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital

Funeral service will be held Monday, July 19, 2021, 11:00 am, Carlisle Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Macclesfield Cemetery. As a lifelong resident of Edgecombe County, Len loved the Lord and his family and always made time for his many friends. Besides being a great outdoorsman, able to work on any John Deere farm equipment, Len was a Senior Master Technician with Ford Motor Company. Among his many talents and skills, Len enjoyed throwing a pig pickin', dancing to beach music, and he loved going to church and passing out candy.

He was born February 22, 1951, to Lenward W. and Nannie Abrams Jones. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Parker and brother, Willie Jones.

He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 20 years, Sharon P. Jones; sons, Lenward Wesley Jones, III (Karen), Michael Jones (Dawn); step-son, Johnny Ray Bell (Marie) step-daughter, Teresa Lynn Bell (Rachel); sister, Jane Smith (Andre Savoy); grandchildren, Meredith Jones, Sarah Christopher (Josh), Lindsay Jones; step-grandchildren, Shannon Bell, Crystal Bell and Timmy Bell; great grandson, Wesley Arlen Christopher; along with many beloved nieces and nephews, and their fur-baby, Kayla.

Family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home, Sunday, July 18, 2021, 4:00 – 6:00 pm and other times at the home of Sharon and Len Jones home.
