Lettie Iona Scott, 86, passed away on Sunday August 8, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at Penders Chapel Baptist Church, Tarboro, NC on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Johnny Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Iona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of Penders Chapel Baptist, had a great love for the Lord, church family and friends. She didn't know a stranger and loved animals and babies. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Otis Brown; twin sister, Ramona Brown; son, Daniel Earl Scott; and granddaughter, Shannon Renee Brantley.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, J.D. Scott; children, Kathy S. Eller (Michael), Larry Wayne Scott, Kay S. Howard (James), Terry Lee Scott, and Christina Scott-Perry (Jay); grandchildren, Jackie C. Moore, Moni B. Graziani, Danielle Howard, Joey Bryant, Landon Lucas, Kayla Campbell, Daniel Scott, and Savannah Scott; along with 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Glenda Briley; and brother, Tom Wynn.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Carlisle Funeral Home, Tarboro, and other times at the home of J. D. Scott, 198 Samantha Lane, Tarboro on Wednesday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
