IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lillie (Parker)
Vick
August 14, 1929 – August 12, 2025
Lillie Parker Vick passed away peacefully into the presence of Jesus on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. She was ninety-five years old.
Born in Edgecombe County August 14, 1929 to Roy Clifton and Lillie Haney Parker, she was raised in a Christian home and exposed to biblical teachings from an early age. After losing her mother at age nine, Lillie's father continued to take all seven children to church. Lillie gave her heart to the Lord at age eleven and her faith and trust in God grew stronger and deeper.
In 1951 Lillie married the love of her life, Rev. Wiley Daniel Vick. Married for fifty-five years until Wiley's death in 2006, they served together more than fifty of those years in pastorate to churches affiliated with the NC Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Lillie was a talented seamstress, cook, gardener and crafter. When she had to give up cooking, children and grandchildren asked her to mentor them in learning to prepare family recipes. She cherished her family and was happiest when at least one, and preferably all, were with her.
In addition to parents, six siblings and her husband, Lillie was predeceased by her two sons, Phillip and Sammy; a daughter, Marilyn Dunning; two granddaughters, April Harrell and Adrienne Dunning; and son-in-law Charles Mayo.
She is survived by two daughters, Annette Mayo, Janie Dail (Andy); son-in-law Ronald Dunning; daughter-in-law Michelle Vick; grandchildren, Angela Boyd (Jonathan), Susan Andrews (Daniel), Ashley Harris, Daniel Vick and eight great grandchildren.
