Linda Marie Johnson passed away at her home on July 3, 2024.

She was born on November 30, 1945, in the family home in Edgecombe County to the late Annie Bell Meeks and James Woodard Johnson.

She graduated from North Edgecombe High School in 1964. Linda worked at Long Trailer Company for many years with co-workers who became like family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her three brothers, Earl, Jimmy, and Tommy Johnson.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Virginia Hyde, Janie Wadsworth, Carolyn Shelton (Hugh), Barbara Harmon, Ann Burke Johnson, and Ann Harrell Johnson. Although she never had children of her own, she had 21 nieces and nephews and many more great nieces and nephews that she helped raise.

She will be missed by the family she loved so much and dedicated her life to.

A memorial to celebrate her life will be held at Speed Baptist Church on July 14, 2024 at 2:00pm.
