IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Moore
Whitley
December 18, 1960 – January 12, 2023
Linda Moore Whitley, 62, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023.
Linda was born in Edgecombe County on December 18, 1960 to the late Lenzie Moore and Bettie Faye Harrell Moore. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Hunter Ezzell.
Linda loved her family and they were the most important thing to her. She would move mountains for those that she loved, and often proved she would go above and beyond for them even at a moment's notice. She lived love everyday, and valued her place in people's hearts above all. She was humble and kind, with a big smile that greeted all that she came in contact with. She loved family get togethers with her siblings, nieces, and nephews, spending time with her best friend Karen, but closest to her heart was her husband Bud, and her babygirl Leslie. It was always just the three of them, until her precious grandbabies, Hunter and Landon came along. Being a Grandma lit her up from deep inside, and her pride and love for them beamed right out of her. Such a sweet soul, whom will never be forgotten from those she held most dear.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Melvin "Bud" Whitley; daughter, Leslie Ezzell; grandson, Landon Gray Ezzell; sisters, Rita Lynch (Tony) and Ruby Coley (Mike); and brother, Johnnie Moore.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Pinetops Church of God with Pastor Rita Gayle Skinner officiating.
