Lisa James Morehouse, 58, passed away Sunday May 16, 2021, surrounded by family at Service League of Greenville Hospice. She was born in Kenly, NC on November 15, 1962 to Cornelius and Daisy James.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by brother Neil James, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Morehouse, sons Jamey Holland (Danielle), and Christopher Powell (Michelle), and daughter Alyssa Morehouse. Grandchildren Haley, Cheyenne, Christian, Isaac, and her granddog, Duke.

She is also survived by her sisters Gail Walters (William), and Karen Stallings (Wayne).

Lisa had a heart of gold that poured into her love for caretaking and her love for her family. She enjoyed family gatherings especially during holidays where her fried chicken or chicken-n-dumplings were the first on everyone's plate. Lisa loved spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories through her baking and crafts. If she wasn't found in the kitchen, she would be outside planting flowers or watching birds from her front porch or curled up on the couch watching a good drama. She will be remembered for many things but especially for her contagious laughter and her bright blue eyes that lit up the room. She was a fighter even up to her last days but at peace knowing she was going home to her Lord and Savior.

The family would like to make a special thanks to the team at Service League of Greenville Hospice and to a sweet angel, Amanda, at the Vidant Cancer Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Service League of Greenville Hospice, 921 Wellness Dr. Greenville, NC 27834.
