Lois Faye Tew (Hickman) passed away peacefully at her home August 25, 2021, surrounded by family, and loved ones.

She was born January 17, 1936, in Goldsboro, NC. She was an avid reader, loved gardening, photography, poetry, and cooking.

She was the mother to Gloria Klar (Avery) of Jacksonville, FL; Lois Ann Avery of Tarboro, NC; Michael (Beverly) Avery of Sevierville, TN; Linda (Donnie) Harrell of Tarboro, NC; and Sheila Williams of Tampa, FL. She was known as Big Momma to most of her 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

The family and loved ones will hold a small celebration of her life at her home on Saturday August 28, 2021, at 4:00 P.M.

Her loved ones would like to extend their gratitude for the care and support kindred hospice staff provided to Lois on her journey to be with our Lord and Savior.
