Lorene Savage Hollis, 88, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

Lorene was born in Martin County on June 6, 1931 to LlewllynB. Savage and Mahala Alford Savage.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Hollis Sr; sons, William Earl Hollis Jr, Carlton Eugene Hollis, Michael Troy Hollis, infant daughter, and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her loving family which includes her daughter-in-law's, Peggy Hollis, and Loretta Everette Hollis; grandsons Randy Hollis, Daniel Hollis, Brandon Hollis, Christopher Hollis and Jeff Everette; granddaughter Tabitha Everette; great grandchildren James Lee Hollis, Samantha Dawn Hollis, Alyssa Paige Hollis, Natalie Renee Andrews, and Hunter Scott Hollis; sister, Hazel Taylor of Wilmington, NC.

Lorene worked at Mayo Knitting Mill in Tarboro, NC for nearly 47 years until her retirement in 1993. She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother always putting her family first. She was a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church for many years.

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home on Tuesday night from the hours of 7 until 9 Pm . a Celebration of Lorene's Life will be held in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home on Wednesday February  12, 2020 at 2 Pm with the interment following in the Oak City Cemetery.
