Louis Earl Everette, Sr. age 87 of Tarboro, passed away at Vidant Edgecombe Medical Center on Friday, October 1, 2021.

Louis was a lifelong farmer. He began farming in 1953 with his father-in-law and farmed until 2015. He loved farming and raised corn, tobacco, peanuts, soy beans and cotton. He enjoyed cooking BBQ pigs for family and friends, spending time with his family and trips to the mountains.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Smith Everette; mother and father Jessie and Mattie Everette; and his grandson Bryan Everette.

Louis is survived by his loving family including his son Louis Everette Jr.; daughters Brenda Everette and fiancé David Parker, Vicky Dickens and husband Russ Dickens all of Tarboro; grandchildren Louis Everette III, Stephanie Robertson, Jessica Brooks and husband Tyler Brooks and Taylor Everette; great-grandchildren Nathan Everette, Logan Robertson and Landon Scott,  Bryan Everette's fiancé Courtney Carey.

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home on Monday, October 4, 2021, from the hours 6 until 8 pm and other times at his home 6791 Hwy 258 North, Tarboro.

A Celebration of Louis's Life will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Woods and Rev. Randy Holland officiating. The interment will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.
