Obituary

Louis Kenneth Roebuck was born October 7, 1942 and passed away on October 17, 2017.

Funeral services will be held in the Carlisle Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 11:00am with the Rev. Billy Crabtree officiating. The family will receive friends and other relatives on Friday from 10:00-11:00am at Carlisle Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

He was born in Pitt County and lived in Farmville. He graduated from Farmville High School in 1960. Louis was Department Head of the Traffic and Shipping Department at Farmtrac. (formerly known as Long Manufacturing Company and Long Agribusiness). He retired in 2004 after 44 years of service to the company.

Louis was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. He liked growing flowers, feeding birds, listening to gospel music, and watching classic western movies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Louis and Iris Roebuck. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Elizabeth; two sons, Paul and wife, Melanie of TX; and Stephen and wife, Laura, of Ayden; grandchildren, Aimee, Alex, Chloe, and Erin of TX, and Dylan, and step-granddaughter Jessica Craft of Ayden, NC.
