Mable Hathaway Summerlin, 82, of Elm City, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Wilson Rehab & Nursing Center, Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday, July 25th at Carlisle Funeral Home-701 Hospital Dr., Tarboro.

The family will hold a private graveside at a later date.

She was preceded in death by her son Joe David Lewis and her parents Joseph and Clara Hathaway.

Mable is survived by her son, David Lewis II,  her daughter, Suzie Jones, her grandson, Daniel Cobb and her son-in-law Donald Glenn Jones.

Mable lived for her children. She was very proud of them and expressed her love and appreciation for them every day of her life. They greatly loved her in return and will always remember her sweet smile.
