Marion Sue Fussell, 75 passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital.

Funeral service will be held Monday, May 16, 2022, 2:00 pm, Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Blalock officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Sue was born in Edgecombe County to John Thomas and Lillian Ruth Gurkin Dixon, December 3, 1946. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Fussell; daughter, Brenda Gail Fussell Joyner; sisters, Alice Faye Dixon Anderson, and Doris Leggett Morgan.

She retired from Tarboro Telco Credit Union after many years of service.

Sue is survived by her loving family, Wanda Fussell Jaquette and Lisa Lewis (Ken); brother, John Thomas Dixon, Jr.; sister, Gloria Dixon Gravlin; grandchildren, Harley Jaquette, Duston Overton, Kristian Lewis, Brad Lewis, Jessica Ellis and Nick Joyner; great grandchildren, Paisley, Tyler and Benjamin.

Family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home, Monday from 1:00 – 2:00 pm and other times at the home, 810 Hilma Circle, Tarboro, N. C.
