Martha Chandler Muse, age 67, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

She was born and grew up in Tarboro, NC. She graduated from Tarboro High School and went on to get a Bachelor's degree from North Carolina Wesleyan College. She worked at the retirement center formerly known as The Albemarle for about 18 years. She maintained a cheerful disposition in spite of her poor health in more recent years.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, T. Chandler Muse and Mary Wilson Muse.

She is survived by her brother, Eugene W. Muse, her sister, Mary Ann Muse, nephews Wilson Muse (Leigh Ann Muse) and Harrison Muse (Meghan Ickes), and a great niece, Layla Muse.

A private celebration of Martha's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to a charity of your choice.
