Mary Ruth D. Christenberry, 92, of Tarboro, NC, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 15, 2024.  Mary was born in Edgecombe County on February 9, 1932, to the late Ralph Turner and Alice Rachel Denny.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Naamon Christenberry, and her brothers, Ralph Turner Denny, Jr., Al J. Denny, and Charlie Frank Denny.  She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Sue Christenberry, of the home, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19,2024 from 6:00 – 9:00pm at Carlisle Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held at Edgecombe Memorial Park on Friday, September 20,2024 at 3:00pm.
