It is with a heavy heart to announce the death of our beloved, Mary Lou Etheridge Hilbourn. She passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday Morning, July 19, 2022. At the age of 73. Lou has battled cancer and then a long illness due to surgeries in the past several years.

Lou is survived by her husband of 52 years; Donald Hilbourn, two children; Wendy Hilbourn  & Tommy Boyette, 4 grandchildren, one aunt; Dean, one sister; Diana Harris from Powhatan, VA.,  her mother Margaret E Davis also of VA  and several neices, nephews and cousins.

She was born in Edgecombe County and lived in Dunbar, North Carolina. She lived her life in Tarboro, North Carolina. She loved hummingbirds, owls, her dashounds , flowers and collected Peanut characters

Services will be Saturday at 2:00 PM, July 23, 2022, at Carlisle Funeral Home, Viewing will be from 1-2 PM.

The family will receive visitors at the home of Carolyn Hilbourne & Traci Hopkins: 5635 Mckendree Church Road, Tarboro, NC.
