Mary Alice "Pookie" Privette, 84, passed away on June 25, 2018 at Vidant Hospice House with her loving husband of 52 years by her side.

Mary Alice worked for Carolina Telephone & Telegraph for 39 years as an engineering assistant. She had a passion for painting and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00-10:45am at Carlisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.  A graveside service will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park at 11:00am with Pastor Carlton Oakley officiating.

She is survived by her husband William Neul Privette; daughter, Kay Wooten and husband JW; grandson, Justin Wooten and wife Maghan; a great-grandson, Jackson; and many loving family members.
