Mary Lou Walston Buehler, 70, passed away peacefully at her home on Phillips St. in Pinetops NC.

Mary Lou was born February 6, 1953 in Nash County to Fred and Mary Emma Walston.

After obtaining her nursing certifications from Edgecombe Community College, Mary Lou worked with the Tarboro Clinic and Pitt County Memorial Hospital. She completed her career as a senior nurse case manager with Southern Rehabilitation Network. An avid animal lover, Mary Lou had many beloved pets and her latest, a shepherd mix named Tucker, was by her side when she passed.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ann Frances Walston.

She is survived by her son Christopher Cole and wife Renee and her granddaughters, Mary Beth and Emma Jane and her brother, Lewis Walston.
