Mary Morris Whitehurst, 82, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022.

Graveside service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Mary was born on June 13, 1940, to the late Floyd Raymond and Lessie Wells Morris. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Marrow-Pitt Hardware Store.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow "Whitey" Whitehurst, Jr.; and siblings, Kenneth Morris and Curtis Morris.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Whitehurst Morris (Greg); grandchildren, Michaela Morris and Madison Morris; her fur companion "Baby"; uncle, Gene Morris; and brother-in-law, Herbert Whitehurst (Libby).
