Mary Lucille Whitley, 90, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018, 2:00pm at Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Raymond Whitehurst and Rev. Paul Mobley officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

She's known to everyone as "Granny" and always shared her big smile with everyone.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis H. Whitley, son, Ronnie Whitley and grandson, Chandler Blayne Thompson, Emmanuel Whitley.

She is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Mary Ann Thompson (Kenneth) of the home; son, Kenneth Whitley (Sheila) of Chocowinity;Daughter-in-law, Hazel Whitley; Grandchildren, Carter Thompson (Michelle), Sabrina Thompson Lancaster (Reed), Melissa Cannon (Michael), Kevin Whitley (Jeannette), Lisa Cratch (Steven), Josh Whitley; Great grandchildren, Chelsea Smith, Cody Cratch, Summer Whitley, MacKenzie Thompson, Gracyn Thompson, Matthew Cannon and Mason Cannon, Chelsea Whitley.

Family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00- 2:00pm at Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church and other times at the home of Mary Ann and Kenneth Thompson.
