Mrs. Mattie Wadsworth Pigg, age 74, passed away in the Vidant Edgecombe Hospital, Tarboro on December 3, 2017.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ida Lee Wadsworth, husband, William Pigg, grandson, Anthony Brunett; brother, Rousevelt and George Wadsworth, one sister, Eula Summerlin.

Mattie is survived by her daughter, Pamela Brunett and husband, Gary Segars, of Tarboro, son, Phillip Michaels and wife, Shannon of Nashville, two brothers, William Roy Wadsworth of Red Oak and Edward Wadsworth, of Battleboro, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A Celebration of Mattie's Life will be held in the chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 2:00 Pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from the hours of 6:00-8:00 PM. The interment will follow services in the Edgecombe Memorial Park, Tarboro.
