On May 30, 2025, Maurice Harry Adams passed away peacefully in his home in Tarboro, NC.

Born on June 21, 1938, to the late Paul and Mildred Adams.

He was a loving husband to Betty Jo Adams for 44 years. He had two sisters, Shirley Carmen and Sally Ann Harris, both deceased. Maurice was a caring and loving father to three children, Wanda Jo Bennett of Westminster, MD, Wesley Paul McDonald Sr. of Tarboro, NC, and Jeffrey Allen McDonald and wife Collen of Mount Airy, MD. He had three grandsons and four great grandchildren.

Maurice was a deacon at New Grace Baptist Church he was also a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served his nation in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Services will be held at New Grace Baptist Church on Saturday, June 7th at 3:00 PM. New Grace Baptist Church is at 1213 Newsome Street, Tarboro, NC 27886. In lieu of flowers you can make a donations to New Grace Baptist Church.
