Max Millard Harrell, 95, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 with his loving family by his side.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 11:00 am, Carlisle Funeral Home. Burial  will follow in Macclesfield Cemetery with Military Honors.

Max proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII in Europe. He returned home to the family farm where he was born and raised and continued to farm until recently. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and his hunting dogs. He will be greatly missed

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton  and Annie Walston Harrell; wife, Nannie Gay Harrell; son, Donald Max Harrell; 7 brothers and 4 sisters.

He is survived by his loving family, including a son, William "Bill" Harrell and his wife, Joesy; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Owens Harrell; grandchildren, Kayla Ashley Harrell and her friend, Frederick Davis; Christopher C. Harrell and his wife, Samantha and Chelsea Harrell; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose Harrell; Sister, Helen Harrell Lewis; many nieces and nephews and was a friend to all that knew him.

The family would like to thank the staff at Prodigy in Tarboro for their excellent care of him.

Family will receive friends and other relatives at Carlisle Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and other times at the home of Bill Harrell, 8166 Glover Rd., Fountain, N.C.
