Meanon 'Peewee' Lee Brown, 84, formerly of Tarboro, NC, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday January 7, 2026.

Visitation & service will be held Sunday January 11th, 2026, at 1pm at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro, NC. Graveside service will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park, in Tarboro, NC with Micky Miller officiating.

Meanon was born on October 5, 1941, in Creswell, NC; son of the late James & Inez Brann Brown. In addition to his parents, Meanon was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Brenda Carol Jenkins, grandson Jeremy Edmondson, and several brothers and sisters both by blood and love.

Meanon retired from Fountain Power Boats after many years of service.

He is survived by his loving family, including; sons, Randy (Lisa) Brown, Ricky Brown, and David Elks; grandchildren, Victoria (Micky) Miller, Alicia (Gary) Lowery and Amber Carter, Ricky Brown II, Zackary Brown, Chalie Elks, Emily Pendley, and Brandon Elks; 23 great-grandchildren; Brothers, Walter Brown and Tom Brown; sisters, Hilda Sutton, and brother and sister-in-laws: Ann Greg, Glenda (Dan) Henderson, Herman (Jackie) Jenkins, Janice Grant, and Mike (Anna) Jenkins.
