Melissa Louise Harrell,94, born February 14, 1929, died peacefully in her sleep on July 12, 2023, at Ridgewood Manor nursing facility in Washington NC.

She lived at 210 Craven Street, Tarboro, NC, for over 50 years. She was the widow of Calvin Harrell and was predeceased in death by her parents, Irene Stalls and Percy Stalls, Tarboro, NC, in addition to her two brothers Lloyd Stalls and Linwood Stalls, and Granddaughter, Jennifer Barrett.

She's survived by her daughter, Linda Boseman King of Hickory; Son, Arthur Boseman, Jr of California; adopted brother David Proctor  and wife Kim of Alabama ; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Harding and husband  Gerald of Washington, NC, and Anna Melton of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by her eleven great-grandchildren as well as four great-great-grandchildren. Louise enjoyed spending her free time at Roberson Center in Tarboro, NC, where she would spend time with her friends. She was a loving; mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home Monday, July 17, 2023 from the hours of 6 PM until 8 Pm.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
