Meredith Marie Webb, age 82, passed away at her home in Pinetops, NC, this past Friday, February 3rd, 2023.

Meredith was a native of Edgecombe County, NC. She was born on October 7th, 1940, to Julius and Lucy Webb. In 1960, she married Joe Mattox Webb, and they resided in Pinetops, NC for the duration of their marriage. During this time, she raised 3 children. She began working in Edgecombe County Public School System as a Secretary during the 60s. Additionally, she worked at Standard Commercial Tobacco in Wilson, NC. After retirement she enjoyed vacationing at the beach, dancing with friends, and spending time with family. Meredith had a lively character and made friends wherever she went. Her memory will live on through these lasting friendships.

Meredith was preceded in death by her late husband, Joe Mattox Webb, and her brother, Edwin "brother" Webb.

She is survived by her brother, Bryant Webb (Trisha Webb); Three children, Joseph Keith Webb, Benjamin Bryant Webb (Nancy Webb), and Melinda Webb Cole (Andy Cole); Grandchildren, Karie Webb, Landon Webb, Abby Cole, Chase Webb, Caroline Phillips, Liza Cole, and Carly Cole; Great Grandchildren Mason Webb, Brayden Webb, Warren Webb, Mattox Phillips, Sadie Rae Phillips, and Ridge Webb..

The family will receive friends and family at Carlisle Funeral Home on Monday, February 6, 2023 from the hours of 12:30 till 1:45 pm with the graveside services following
