Minnie "Doris" Tripp 85 of Tarboro North Carolina passed away on Wednesday the 14th of April 2021 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on November 1, 1935 in Pitt County to Herman and Ada Davis.  Doris loved to cook Sunday dinners for her family which always consisted of fried chicken and collard greens. Her home was always the gathering place on Sunday's.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Joseph Lee Tripp, her son Billy Lee Tripp, granddaughter Valerie Ann Andrews and sister Edna Peaden.

She is survived by sons Mike Tripp of the home, Steven Tripp and wife Joyce of Tarboro, daughters JoAnn Tripp and partner Nathan Gupton of Tarboro, and Cathy Turner and husband Linwood of Nashville, grandchildren Christopher Turner, Brandon Turner, Jonathan Turner, Gray Gupton, and Elaine Todd, sisters Shelby Mooring and Linda Green of Tarboro, sister Nina Norris of Havelock, brother Charlie Davis of Belvoir and Clarence Davis of Tarboro. Ten great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday April 16 from 7-9pm at Carlisle Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 17 at 1:00 pm in the chapel at Carlisle Funeral Home with the interment following in the Edgecombe Memorial Park
