Nancy Knight, age 75, passed away Saturday November 4, 2017. She was born In Edgecombe County on October 20, 1942 to the late Hilda and Thurman Staton. She is preceded in death by her husband, George "Buddy" Knight Jr. and her son George H. Knight III. She is survived by one son; Brooks Knight and wife Marilyn of Nashville, NC and daughter in law, Susan Knight Poe of Warrensville, NC, six grandchildren, Staton Knight and wife Emily of Winterville NC, Lauren Gardner of Greenville NC, Carson Knight of Bethel NC, Austin Knight of Rocky Mount NC, Margaret and Hunter Knight of Warrensville, NC. Nancy loved to spend time with friends and family. She enjoyed working outside in her yard and driving around her beloved dog Lee Lee. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all. The family would like to thank the following for all their love and support while Nancy was sick: Janet Dickens, Peggy and Tony Pearce, Annette Harrell, Fay and Ray Warren and Billy and Theresa Hogshire.

A Celebration of Nancy's Life will be held Tuesday, 11 Am in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour before the service.
