Nicholas "Nick" Lingg, 74, of Tarboro, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at Edgecombe Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 5 at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Nick graduated from Williamson Trade School in Philadelphia, PA in 1962. He was a tool maker and plastics engineer with Black & Decker and Precision Southeast Inc. for over 40 years until his retirement.

Nick was a Model-T enthusiast, craftsman and woodworker. Nick is survived by his two sons, Nicholas M. and wife Martina Simiele of Mebane and Edward F. and wife Tiffany Lingg of Wake Forest; three grandchildren Dominic, Gabrielle and Samantha; and a sister, Louise Lawrence of New Oxford, PA. Nick was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Midge Lingg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the V Foundation for cancer research at www.jimmyv.org or the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org in memory of Nick Lingg. The family will receive friends between 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Carlisle Funeral Home.
