Olivera Thomas Dupree, 87, passed away Saturday morning, January 27, 2018.

Visitation will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home on Monday, January 29th from 2-3 PM and a graveside service following at 3:30 at Edgecombe Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Steve Herring. Family will receive visitors at other times at the home of Dempsey and Pam Dupree, 3084 Chinquapin Road, Tarboro.

Born to George and Eula Thomas, Olivera was a lifetime resident of Edgecombe County. She retired from the Tarboro Clinic and was a faithful member of Cobb Memorial Presbyterian Church. Known as "Vera" to many and "Ollie to others, she was known by her smile and kind demeanor to everyone who knew her.

Olivera is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Dupree, Jr. and son, G.T. Dupree.

She is survived by her son, William Dempsey Dupree, III and wife, Pamela of Tarboro; granddaughter, Dama McElderry, (Steve) and two great grandchildren, Annah and Judah of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Elizabeth Hill, Marjorie Hill and Dorothy Sexton; sisters-in-law, Janice Rollins( Jack) and Connie Dupree; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
