Patricia "Sue" Price Nichols, 65 of Tarboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Carlisle Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Hendricks officiating the service. Entombment will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Sue was born on February 24, 1959 to Frank Price Jr. and Lillian Price. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, William "Billy" Salter, and sister-in-law, Lucy.

She leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories to her loving husband of 45 years, Mike Nichols; son, Jason Nichols (Morgan); daughter, Jamie Nichols; adopted son, Chris "Cheeseball" Marks; brothers, Thomas "Tee" Salter (Anita) and James "JimBob" Price (Kay); sisters, Evelyn "Bonnie" Futrell and Nancy Andrews (Doug); her precious grandchildren Ryann, Kaitlynn, and Mason Nichols; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mary Lynn, Myrtle Teel, Sherry Livesay, and Glenda Norris.

Sue retired from Mayo Knitting Mill in 2011 to spend time taking care of her family and friends. She enjoyed going on trips with her family, especially taking her grandchildren to the mountains and the beach. She loved taking care of all her animals, especially her Maggie Doo who crossed the rainbow bridge in 2018. She loved being outdoors doing anything from cutting grass to picking weeds out of the flowers. She had a big heart and a passion for helping others. She loved her family, especially her 3 precious grandbabies, she spent her time taking care of them everyday.

She was a very special woman that loved her family and will be dearly missed.

Sue "fought the good fight" as she battled with cancer. The family would like to thank everyone for their many thoughts and prayers. The family would like to especially thank Hospice of Wilson for caring for Sue and the family. Prayers have now been answered, as she is completely healed in her heavenly home.

Visitation will be at 6:00-9:00pm on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Carlisle Funeral Home.
