Patricia Moore Cobb Letchworth (Price, 84) passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025 with her daughter by her side.

She was born on May 21,1940 in Pitt County, NC. She graduated from Farmville Central High school in 1958 where she played on the women's basketball team. Pat attended East Carolina University for one year before marrying Alvin Lee Letchworth in a 1959 Christmas Eve wedding, while he was on furlough from the U.S. Army. Pat moved to Louisiana with Alvin Lee while he completed his military service. They returned to Tarboro NC where they welcomed their daughter, Teresa, before building their home in Pinetops, where they hosted endless family gatherings and holidays throughout the years.

Pat retired from the Carolina Telephone Company (Brightspeed) after 42 years of service. Following retirement, she enjoyed even more time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and many friends. In May of 2010 Pat married Buck Price and moved to Tarboro NC, where they attended First Baptist Church.

Pat's greatest joys beyond her family and friends, were dancing, spending time at the beach especially with her daughter, being a proud member of the Red Hat Society, sharing nightly devotions with her treasured friend, Betty Ann Cobb, cheering for her favorite basketball team NC State and sharing her favorite bible verse: "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid," John 14:27.

Pat is survived by her daughter Teresa Lynn Letchworth and husband Donnie Harrelson; her husband, Buck Price, grandchildren: Landon Keith Webb, Joseph Chase-Lee Webb and wife Heidi Webb; great grandchildren: Brayden Mattox-Lee Webb, Joseph Warren Webb, Catherine (Catie) James Webb; brothers: Larry Cobb, Billy Cobb and wife Andrea, Michael Cobb and wife Kathy, and Keith Cobb; stepson: Dean Price and wife Teresa Price.

Additional survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Alvin Lee Letchworth; her parents, William Everett Cobb and Ethel Lee Moore Cobb; her sister, Sylvia Cobb Moseley; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.

A Celebration of Patricia's life will be held in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 2 PM with the Rev. Keith Cobb officiating. The Family will be receiving friends and family one hour before the service at the funeral home. The interment will follow in the Edgecombe Memorial Park.
