Pauline Grimmer, aged 90, of Tarboro, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones within her home.

Visitation will be at 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Carlisle Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Edgecombe Memorial Park with Rev. Jessie Blalock and Rev. Berry House officiating.

Pauline was born and raised in Tarboro N.C to Joseph and Nellie Bradley, and went on to live the rest of her days in the town she loved.

She was a hard working woman who enjoyed to stay busy. She worked for Edgecombe County School System until she retired to enjoy her hobbies such as reading her Bible, gardening, spending time with her family, going to church as well as cooking Sunday meals.

She also took great pride in maintaining her yard and flowers and often enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors by feeding hummingbirds and watching them from her porch.

She was a devoted church member to First Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 60 years and loved her church family dearly.

Pauline married her first love, Joshua W Lane, in 1948 and was a loving and devoted wife for 23 years until he passed. She then found she had more love to give when she remarried W.T Grimmer in 1972, and was happily married until his passing in 1981. She then lived the rest of her days being a loving and devoted mother, "Mema", sister and friend.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nellie Bradley, her husband's, Joshua W Lane and W.T Grimmer, her son, Wilson Jr (Bubba), her Great Grand-daughter, Hannah Williams, and her siblings, Forest, Billy and Walter Bradley.

She is survived by her sister, Jean Futrell (Tom) Piver, her children Vinson (Crystal) Lane, Michelle (Steve) Warren, her grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Watt, Nicky Lane, Josh Lane, Morgan Lane, Brentlee Lane, Amber Floyd (Sam) Smith, Brooke Collins, Miranda (Thomas) Bolton, Seth Warren, Gracelyn Warren, and Kristy (Carlton) Hudson, her 17 great-grandchildren and long time family friend Beulah (Poon) Williams, and lastly her loving canine companion, "Frisky", whom absolutely adored Pauline.

We would like to thank Hospice, 3HD, for all the great support in caring so tenderly and full of love in the past almost 2 years. Thank you to all that kept Pauline in prayers in her journey through dementia. She's now living in peace and many prayers were answered, but will truly be missed by many.
