Phillip Brown, 77, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 27th, 2020, with the love of his life, Jim, and their two Dobermans Tyler and Lucy by his side.

Phillip was the son of the late Joseph E. and Gertie T. Brown. He was preceded in death by his siblings; Mary Mac Britt, Patsy Avent, Hannah Goff, Eleanor Brown, Joe, W.R., and Frank Brown.

Phillip was a life-long resident of Edgecombe County. He taught school in the Edgecombe County Public system for several years and later served as the literacy program coordinator for Edgecombe Community College until his retirement. Phillip's success included partnerships in Patsy's Hallmark, Flowers by Cliff, and B&G Fitness.

Phillip leaves behind to cherish his memory, his partner Jim Evans, his sister Carole Coats, several nieces and nephews, special friend and business partner Dan Grimsley, special friend and caretaker Rosa Icox and her husband Furman.

Granting Phillip's wishes there will be no services held.
