Phillip Allen Speight, 89, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00pm on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Carlisle Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery in Pinetops, NC with Rev. Sonny Simpson officiating the service.

Phillip was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Sylvia, and did anything he could for her. He loved to play pool and almost always won the tournaments. He also loved to go fishing.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mamie Speight; wife, Sylvia Speight; son, Tony Ray Speight; granddaughter, Terry Geanine Purington; and brother, William "Bill" Terry Speight.

He is survived by his daughters, Sylvia Kay Speight and Wanda Rose Purington;  granddaughter, Teisha O'Connell (Michael); 5 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Barbara Speight and her loving dog, Charlie; and nephew, William "Bud" Speight.
