Phillip Brooks Webb known to family and friends as Phil, died on March 18, 2022.  Phil was born in Edgecombe County on December 23rd, 1951, to the late Vonnie Varnell Webb and Edvin Brooks Webb.  Shortly after high school he joined the Army and was stationed in Nuernberg, Germany where is met his wife Karin of 48 years.  After being discharged he worked in sales and settled in Edgecombe County.

Memorial service will be at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Carlisle Funeral Home officiated by Ralph Dawson Webb, followed by a visitation after the service with the family until 8:00 P.M.

In Phil's younger years he was avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a big basketball and baseball fan.  Phil had a soft spot for all animals and could commonly be seen with one of his dogs riding along with him in the truck.  In his later years his faithful companion Jazzy was constantly by his side.

He is survived by his wife, Karin Webb, his daughter Donnie Brown, his grandchildren Abby Brown and Katie Brown, a brother David Webb, mother in-law Maria Arnold  and sister in-law Jeannette Arnold-Sokoll and husband Hans.
