Ramona (Kay) Howard, 63, passed into the Lord's hands after a very unexpected four-week, hard fought battle with stage four lung cancer.

Kay was a very outgoing person who did not know a stranger and would strike up a conversation with most anyone who would take the time to listen to her.  Kay loved and would help anyone who was in need, without asking for anything in return.  She worked hard during her time on earth to help provide for her family with her husband, Scott, and for their two children, Danielle and Joey.

Kay was born in Virginia to John Daniel (JD) Scott and Lettie (Iona) Scott.  She was preceded in death by her mother; brothers, Daniel (Danny) Scott, Larry (Larry T) Scott; niece, Shannon Brantley; father-in-law, James (Jim) Howard; brother-in-law, Keith (Sarge) Howard, and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

She leaves behind her husband, Scott Howard; father, JD Scott; mother-in-law, Janet Howard; daughter, Danielle Fullford (Eric); son, Joseph Bryant (Jessica); sisters, Cathy Eller, Christina Perry (Jay); brother, Terry Scott (Patti), nieces; Jackie Moore (Tim), Ramona (Moni) Graziani (Joey), Savannah Scott, Heather Davis (Mike), Kayla Campbell (Michael); nephews, Landon Lucus, Daniel Scott (Lexi), ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank ECU Greenville Cancer Center Palliative Care Unit for making Kay's last days as comfortable as possible and for their kindness to the family.  They are truly a special breed of people.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, following the visitation.
