Robert Alex Guay was born on August 15, 1995 in Tarboro, NC. Robert graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School in 2013 and was a student at the Pitt Community College in Greenville, NC. He was a skilled outdoorsman who was fond of animals, horticulture, and nature. Robert took great pride in being an uncle to Enola Guay Gibson and Elan Thomas Guay.

Robert passed away peacefully on June 22, 2022, surrounded by his family, love, and prayers. He is preceded in death by his father, Neil Thomas Guay, and his two grandfathers, Alex Coggin and Robert (Bob) Guay. He is survived by his mother, Tonya Coggin Guay, sisters Jewely and Haley Guay, niece Enola Guay Gibson, nephew Elan Thomas Guay, and his grandmothers Lois Coggin and Virginia Guay. He is also survived by cousins Bryce Coggin, Chase Gardner, Laura Guay, Nathan Guay, aunts Toi Coggin, Tammy Coggin, Pattie Guay, Eileen Potash, and uncles Brad Coggin, Terrence Guay, and Wayne Guay.

Robert was humorous and kind, always extending help and courtesy to those around him including complete strangers. Robert is loved by many and his memory will be cherished forever.

We welcome friends and family at the Carlisle Funeral Home on Sunday, June 26 from 12–2 PM followed by a celebration of life ceremony. He will be laid to rest after the ceremony in Hobgood, NC.
