Obituary

Robert Caulby Brewer, age 36, passed away at Vidant Hospice in Greenville surrounded by his loving family.

Robbie is the son of Joe and Janet Brewer of Tarboro. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert "Shank" Taylor and Margaret Sherrod Taylor and great uncle Gene Sherrod, paternal grandmother, Jean Batts Brewer. Left to cherish his memory are his Mother and Dad, Joe and Janet.

Robbie leaves his paternal grandfather, Lotis Brewer of Tarboro, N.C., and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins to also cherish his memory including; Sheila Taylor of Washington, N.C., Vickie Phifer of Wingate, N.C., David and Kathy Brewer, Rodney and Lorri Brewer all of Tarboro, N.C., Tommy and Susan Lamm of Fountain, N.C., Numerous Cousins including; John and Laura White of Charlotte, N.C., Bruce and Naomi Burgess of Nashville, N.C., Jeromy and .Jessica Guzman (Abby and Braden) of Red Oak, N.C., Rhonda Lamm of Elm City, N/C., Keith and Alana Brewer (Noah) of Walstonburg, Blake Brewer of Tarboro, and many others.

Robbie was an East Carolina graduate, class of 2007. He was a dedicated employee of WorldCat Boats of Tarboro where he worked in many different capacities for over 11 years before having to retire for health reasons. Boats were Robbie's passion and as a small boy he would amaze you with his knowledge of boats and motors. They were his passion.

Second to boats and boating Robbie loved baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. His favorite Brave was "Chipper Jones". Robbie never met Chipper but did see him play in several games through the years.

Most of all, Robbie loved his family and his chocolate lab, Bailey. She was the light of his life.

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 1 pm until 2 pm with a celebration of Robbie's life in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home at 2 PM with the interment following in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family's wishes are for memorial contributions to be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 401 Harrison Oaks Blvd., Ste 200, Cary, N.C. 27513, or to; The Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice, 920 Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
