Ronnie Allen "Rocky" Bunn II, age 60, of Elm City, NC, left his earthly home Wednesday, December 27, 2023, 15 days after his 60th birthday.

He was born into our lives December 12, 1963. As he grew, he lived up to his nickname walking at eight and a half months, curious about everything. Protective of all that he loved. After his brother was born, he became his guardian trying to help him grow by sharing his sandwich before he was a week old. As both boys grew they stayed very close. On August 11, 2016, Rocky suffered a debilitating stroke which gradually drained his strength. He fought long and hard to survive. December 27, 2023; Our Heavenly Father said, "enough." Rocky is resting now.

Rocky was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jesse (Bud) and Mae B. Taylor; and his maternal grandparents, Robert Wilson (Pete) and Clara Belle O. Trevathan whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his parents, Ronnie Allen and Jean T. Bunn; his loving brother and caretaker, Roney Wilson Bunn, and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Edgewood Free Will Baptist Church, Macclesfield, NC with the celebration of life following at 2:00 PM. The family is requesting that the dress code be causal and comfortable, but you are welcome to wear a suit if you would like.
