Ronnie Rogers, 80, of Tarboro, NC, passed away on January 8th, 2025 peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Ronnie, affectionately known as Buck, was born on November 19th, 1944 to Helene Rogers Haddock in Hobgood, NC.

In 1958, Ronnie met Gwen in Scotland Neck through mutual friends. Gwen and Ronnie would go on to date, and then marry in 1964, and have their twins Cindy and Wendy in 1967. Ronnie loved nature, to hunt and fish, and was known for his great skills playing basketball.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother Helene, and sisters Peggy Jones and Jean King. He is survived by his loving wife, Gwen Rogers, daughters Wendy and her husband Bob Cox of Tarboro, and Cindy and husband Kenny Whichard, of Roanoke Rapids; their grandchildren, Laura and husband Justin Nelms of Roanoke Rapids, Megan and husband Kenneth Bishop of Roanoke Rapids, Robbie and wife Skylar Cox of Chesapeake, VA, Samantha and husband Brad Godsey of Roanoke Rapids,  and Mary and husband Sean Conerly, of Raleigh, NC; 8 great grandchildren: Elizabeth Hardin (Bishop), Michael Bishop, Camdyn Nelms, Rory Godsey, Trey Cox, Navi Kate Cox; and sister Nell Craft.

Services will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home on Sunday, January 12th for visitation from 1-2pm with services following.
