Rose Carolyn Smith, 79, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Word of Life International Church, Tarboro, NC.

Rose was the kindest, sweetest soul you could ever meet, and she loved everybody. Rose loved and adored her 4 boys, husband and her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially during birthday parties or family cookouts. She was a mother to many people and was affectionately known as Mama Rose. Rose also had a great love for animals. She enjoyed taking pictures in her free time of anything and everything as well as talking on the phone.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, William Stilley and Mary Ann Jones Phillips; son, Stevie Riggs; and brother, William Stilley Jr.

She is survived by her husband, David Smith; sons, Eddie Bordeaux (Amy), Alan Bordeaux (Terri), and Bobby Bordeaux (Robin); grandchildren, Eddie Bordeaux Jr., Courtney Bordeaux, Elijah Bordeaux, Mary Phillips, Jennifer Bell, Jessie Bordeaux, Christian Bordeaux Rhodes, Alan Bordeaux Jr., and Alexis Bordeaux; many great grandchildren; and sister, Shelvy Weather.
